COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a onetime beer that we brewed using organic rye and crystal malt from our friends at Valley Malting Co in Massachusetts. www.ValleyMalt.com They are a micro maltster, one of only a handful in the county, and they are doing some cool stuff. Brewed with our German yeast stain and lightly dry hopped with US Goldings. 5.0% abv

Sample from growler. Clear golden amber pour, white head. Bready malt, light fruit, faint rye malt, and a bit of sweet caramel. Not much to this one.

Draft at gingerman. Clear gold, white head laces a bit.malty aroma with caramel and light rye and spice, hint of fruit. Taste is light, breadth malt, peach, hint of sweetness, very little rye taste, a bit disappointing.

Draft at 5 yr release. Pours a golden amber body with a white head. Malty body with hints of rye spice. Light earth toned hoppiness, a bit grainy in the finish. Decent session ale.

Growler filled at Big Z and consumed the next day. Pours a slightly hazed orange gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of rye grain and citrus. The flavor is stronger rye grain, which I liked, with some mild spiciness to it along with some citrus. The rye grain lingers on the palate for quite a while and extends beyond the swallow. Nice solid beer.

On tap for growler fills at DeCicco’s. Pours a clear orange with a large white beige head. Slight grain on the nose, and some spicy rye notes and citrus. Medium bodied, grainy and lightly sweet. Toast, grain and a little bit of rye. Long grainy bitterness on the finish.

Sampled at the brewery. Poured a clear gold with an amber hue and a white head that lasted throughout the beer and lace slightly. Aroma was crisp with grass and hay as well as a rye backing. Flavor was similar with grass and hay coming through with a bit of rye to add complexity.

Tap at 4th ave. Pub. Golden copper color, nice head. Smells peppery and lemony. Tastes mildly hoppy and mildly malty, meaning nothing stands out. Very drinkable nonetheless. Almost reminds me of Brooklyns Winter Ale

Lightly spicy and light honey nose. Taste is lightly sweet, lots of honey dough malt, fruity yeast, light spice and a touch of grassy hops. Decent.
