Commercial Description:
This beer is an American adaptation to the classic Belgian style of beer known as a Tripel. Historically Tripels were brewed to have a very light golden color, a moderate hop presence, and be around 9% alcohol. But we are not in Belgium, so I decided to crank up the hops, dry hop the beer with American Amarillo hops, and brew it to 10% ABV. This is our American Tripel, enjoy. Sensory Profile: Enjoy in a goblet or wine glass. Tropical fruit and honey are the two biggest aromas coming from this lively brew. While the hop bitterness is not as powerful as an IPA, the hop flavor melds nicely with the fruity flavors created by the imported Belgian yeast strain used. Food Pairing: This beer goes great with roasted vegetables, fish and rotisserie chicken. And it can be used as a aperitif before dinner with shrimp cocktail.

Spicy malty aroma with cinnamon, chardonnay grapes (i agree phillybeer!) with some vanilla. Pours golden blonde with a thick white head. Smooth with a lot of belgian yeast spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, very smooth with grassy notes and great carbonation! Thanks Beerlando!

Courtesy beerlando. Light gold, hazy. Vinous, chardonnay grapes with a light floral hop. Huge fuzzy foamy palate. Light creamy fruitiness (vague) and pillowy sweetness. Finish is long and warming, but upliftingwith the high carbonation. Nice spicy hopping too.

Bottle courtesy Maltajo. Pours a hazy straw gold with a thick white head. Malty, slightly sweet aroma with citrusy grassy hop aroma. Nice malt taste with earthy grassy hop balance. Very smooth and deceptively strong.

Bottle from Big fern in NY, thanks! I shared this at a tasting at stateline and everyone thought it was a good beer... Taste was kind of dry, small amount of hops, spicy, grassy and sweet at the same time. I would of never guessed it to be over 10%! Smooth and easy to drink. As nimbleprob said "full bodied but not heavy". Oveall a well crafted beer. Thanks again FL!

Big 750ml bottle pours a hazy, translucent straw gold with a thin, lacing white head. Nose is very pleasant, perfume, grass, banana, clove and slight peppery hops. Flavor is very grainy, grassy, slighly sweet and rather spicy. Full bodied, but not heavy, with little warning of the heavy alcohol. An exercise in subtlety for sure, but very drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of Beerlando: Poured a deep golden and lightly hazy color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of Amarillo hops with a medium sweet malt base with some light fruity ester. Taste is also dominated by some light fruity ester with some medium-sweet malt base and a hoppy finish which kind of detract from the fine mal base. Full body with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting and different take from the classic Belgian style but in the end the finish is too dry and hoppy to raise this beer to classic level.

From a 750mL Bottle. Courtesy of CharlesDarwin. Thank, Tom! Pours a mostly transparent, ripened banana gold color with a thick head of fizzy white. Fruity banana, papaya, and pear yeast esters with a hint of confectioner’s sugar. There’s a nice bready malt base that is livened up by some doughy yeast. Restrained citrusy hop resin, along with something lighter, perhaps a kiss of lemon zest. Light bodied, heavily carbonated mouthfeel with a prickling effervescence. Flavors of mild black pepper phenols up front on the palate, along with some honey malt. The hops come out mid-palate, combining with the yeast notes to create an almost funky lemon character. Candied orange, biscuit, and dusty pineapple rind. This tastes like it has a touch of brett in it, but it’s very subtle, and if it actually is brett, it’s adding a nice layer of complexity to the brew. The Amarillo hops come out boldly in the finish, leaving a lemon citrus bitterness lingering in the finish with some warming alcohols.

This poured deep golden to orange in color with a thick head. While it did not gush, pouring really accelerated the bubbles. The nose is filled with green apples, pineapple, yeast, honey, spice and some rock candy. In the mouth it was medium-bodied with a great balance of crispness, made more apparent from the carbonation, and a supple richness. There was a touch of alcohol noticable which is really my only complaint here.
