Commercial Description:
This beer is an American adaptation to the classic Belgian style of beer known as a Tripel. Historically Tripels were brewed to have a very light golden color, a moderate hop presence, and be around 9% alcohol. But we are not in Belgium, so I decided to crank up the hops, dry hop the beer with American Amarillo hops, and brew it to 10% ABV. This is our American Tripel, enjoy. Sensory Profile: Enjoy in a goblet or wine glass. Tropical fruit and honey are the two biggest aromas coming from this lively brew. While the hop bitterness is not as powerful as an IPA, the hop flavor melds nicely with the fruity flavors created by the imported Belgian yeast strain used. Food Pairing: This beer goes great with roasted vegetables, fish and rotisserie chicken. And it can be used as a aperitif before dinner with shrimp cocktail.

Courtesy mgumby10. Cloudy dark straw color with a thick white head. Spicy sugar-infused aroma - candied light malt. Well-carbonated and light bodied. A very nice tripel - a good spice component and a sweetness that stays well shy of sickly. Nice.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Good aroma of honey, malt, yeast and fruits. Rich, complex flavor of malt, honey, fruits and yeast. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation.

750ml bottle: Pours a light orange/yellow with a large rocky white head, yeasty aroma with some earth and spices that are blended with citris fruits and grains. Starts and ends lightly bitter, playful carbonation, medium bodied with a crisp ending.

Cold 750ml bottle: Pours a clear pale golden color with a big, persistent fluffly alabaster head. Aroma is of funky yeast, light grains, light fruits, spice and farmhouse. Taste is of light grains, funky yeast, light fruits and spice. Light bodied, well carbonated and smooth yet crisp. Ending is grainy with light fruits and alcohol notes.

Tampa RB Gathering Beer #9....courtesy of boboboboski and mgumby10....light peach colored body, small white head that lasts....nose of fusel alcohol, yeast, cloves, other asst spices....fore is quite different from most tripels, don’t get a lot of that clovey taste that I have come to hate....medium bodied, round palate....finish is medium length and dry, great beer

Another great Captain Lawrence, this yummy hybrid of a bitter IPA and yeastiness looked good, smelled good, and tasted great. So what the person I shared this with and supper thought it overly hoppy and likes sweeter Belgiums. More for me. Very drinkable.Creaminess from the yeast, which starts sweet and then gives a good controlled bitterness from the tasty Amarillo.

RBSG 07 Minneapolis Grand Tasting: Blonde gold color, light head and lacing. Nose of tart yeast and lemon, some sweet fruity malt. The flavor is metallic and citrusy, nice hops and spice, not clean, but great balance of flavors and explosive citrusy yeast in the tail.

This one has a good floral quality mixed in with the herbal nature. There’s an adequate bitterness to match the sweetness and unlike the Dubbel, it lacks the alcoholic heat. Much better beer.
