COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is an American adaptation to the classic Belgian style of beer known as a Tripel. Historically Tripels were brewed to have a very light golden color, a moderate hop presence, and be around 9% alcohol. But we are not in Belgium, so I decided to crank up the hops, dry hop the beer with American Amarillo hops, and brew it to 10% ABV. This is our American Tripel, enjoy. Sensory Profile: Enjoy in a goblet or wine glass. Tropical fruit and honey are the two biggest aromas coming from this lively brew. While the hop bitterness is not as powerful as an IPA, the hop flavor melds nicely with the fruity flavors created by the imported Belgian yeast strain used. Food Pairing: This beer goes great with roasted vegetables, fish and rotisserie chicken. And it can be used as a aperitif before dinner with shrimp cocktail.

Pours golden yellow with a rocky white head. Aroma is florals, citrus, yeast and pears. Taste is a little spicey up front, sweet on the finish. Light and airy mouthfeel. Excellent, the alcohol is well hidden.

Aroma: light malts, fruity esters, Belgian yeast notes. Pours light golden with massive rocky white head, good retention and lots of lacing. Grainy flavor, some pear and apple, yeasty and bready. Medium body, high carbonation, light and effervescent.

750 ml bottle thanks to Eric, footbalm strikes again! Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A sweet peppery nose with some oxidized aromas and light citrus. The flavor is a smooth and warm brew, some almost sour notes from oxidation, fruity akin to candied oranges, peppery, overall quite lively. Nice.

Clear amber pour with big white head. Fruity aroma. Taste of mild fruits, mostly pineapple, that was quickly masked by the hoppy finish. A little to much hops for this beer style made for a confusing beer.

Clear golden pour with a big pillowy white head. Excellent retention, just stuck around. Aroma was light spicy Belgian yeast, fruity, some pineapple. Flavors were also fruity, can’t tell if it’s a hop presence or a yeastiness. Probably a bit of both. I liked it. Hoppy yeastiness from top to bottom. Little to no bitterness in the finish. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly fizzy, almost no heat anywhere. A nicely done American version of a Belgian style...

Tasted on 5/22/11 from a 750mL capped bottle sent to me in a trade, this bottle is probably around a year old. Pours clear golden with a thick white head that slowly recedes to spotty lace, leaving heavy residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is spicy, vegetal, and herbal hops along with fruity Belgian yeast and some underlying gourd aroma and light bread malt. The flavor is very gourd-like (slightly vegetal, but slightly sweet) along with spicy Belgian yeast, and earthy, herbal hops. The body is full and oily with average carbonation and a long gourd-like and herbal hops finish.

Hopped up Tripel with notes of pineapple and spiciness. A bit on the sweet side for my liking, but not too boozy which is good.

Bottle at Maltzilla’s tasting. Pours clear golden color with off white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, spices and hops. Tastes like a hopped up Belgian tripel. Medium body with lively carbonation. An interesting take on a classic style.

Bomber from 2009. Nice bright golden pour with a thick head. Zesty bite even a bit sour ( must be from the old vintage). Lots of hoppy goodness.
