Commercial Description:
This beer is an American adaptation to the classic Belgian style of beer known as a Tripel. Historically Tripels were brewed to have a very light golden color, a moderate hop presence, and be around 9% alcohol. But we are not in Belgium, so I decided to crank up the hops, dry hop the beer with American Amarillo hops, and brew it to 10% ABV. This is our American Tripel, enjoy. Sensory Profile: Enjoy in a goblet or wine glass. Tropical fruit and honey are the two biggest aromas coming from this lively brew. While the hop bitterness is not as powerful as an IPA, the hop flavor melds nicely with the fruity flavors created by the imported Belgian yeast strain used. Food Pairing: This beer goes great with roasted vegetables, fish and rotisserie chicken. And it can be used as a aperitif before dinner with shrimp cocktail.

Sample courtesy of Sparky27 at the hellbilly holiday tasting. Hazy orange color pour with a small foamy head. Aroma of apples and yeast. Flavor is light sweet fruit, malt, and a touch of citrus hop on the finish. Not bad at all. Thanks Eric!

Bottle courtesy of hopdog and shared at hellbilly*s holiday tasting. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Nose is floral hops, fruits and malt. Taste is floral hops, juicy fruit gum, apples and malt with a sweet citrus finish. Medium mouth feel. Better than I expected. Thanks Steve!

bottle. Slightly cloudy gold color with a nice whitish head. Aroma is very hoppy and full of citrus notes with some yeasty notes. Flaovr is malty, juicy and hoppy. A very interesting take on a triple indeed.

Pours gold in color with plenty of carbonation and a decent inch of head on the pour. Smell is juicy, citrusy hops and some belgian yeast. Taste is a perfect balance of belgian and IPA. This is the first of the style that I have thoroughly enjoyed. The hops are very citrusy and work well in this Tripel. Plenty of carbonation and bitterness in the hops that create a wonderful mouth feel. Wonderful beer and you never notice the 10% ABV. I could drink this regularly, very well done and enjoyable.

(10/26/08) Draught at The Ginger Man in New York. Slightly hazy deep golden to amber color with a small, quickly-diminishing, white head. Aroma of fruits (peach, apricot and apple hints), some yeast, a bit of malt and spicy notes. Sweetish spicy flavor with a bit of caramel, some fruitiness, yeast and a dry spicy finish. Medium-bodied. OK but nothing exciting.

Bottle from GMCC2181. Poured a pale golden color, decent to generous sized white head. The aroma was apples, grains, some yeast. Flavor followed suit, apples, grains, yeast, dry grassy type hop finish, light-fruited candy. Mouthfeel was light and dry, crisp finish, good stuff. Thanks, Gabe!
