A pretty meaty Kolsch. The taste could still use some work but i see what they are going for here. A nice brew that is worth a try. Not sure why I had to pay $1 for the bottle that went to recycling. Weak. But still, a nice brew.

Thanks to Sammer for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a hazy light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat and lemons with a tad bit of tartness. The flavor is more of the same with the tartness still being present. The amount of tartness in the beer (much less than in a sour ale or Berliner Weiss) makes the beer dry and very drinkable. I also get some yeast in the flavor. Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not sure if the beer was as the brewer intended, but regardless, it was very nice.

Was looking forward to this beer. Love their backstory and plans. That said, this beer had gone bad. Sour and grapefruity. Frothy and sparkly.

Kolsch is not my beer of choice, but Captured By Porches, is just such an amazing upstart brewery, you just have to try. A nice light beer, with a sweet malty/yeast body, and just the right amount of hops.
