Can, 33 cl. Let’s start rather positively: the beer looks good: golden, celar colour, with many bubbles rising and a little dirty white to grey, but stable head. If you smell you encounter a grainy, but also a malty smell. But the smell is and strange and unfresh. Than the taste: if you ever wondered what you would experience if you take a glass of beer, fill it for the half with beer and the other half with water, well, I think Cara Pils comes very close to that experience. The taste is light grainy, but flat and... watery. There is some dryness, but a bad one. But the overall taste you have is beer dilluted with water. Maybe refreshing, but as a beer you can’t get away with that, even if the taste isn’t ’bah!’ like I had with the (Dutch) Kaiser Pils. Let’s say it’s a bad but in the end drinkable beer.

(Canned) Clear, paleish golden with a small, white head. Corny-malty aroma with light acidity, and clear cheap adjuncts presence. Grainy-starchy, lightly white-vinous-sourish flavor with hints of pear, and not much barley. More like cereals in liquid form. Light, but not quite watery body with lowish carbonation. This seems to be the lowest you can go in Belgium: the (probably) cheapest adjunct brew in the land of (practically) free beer...

From a can from an all night shop in Antwerp shared in my hotel room with Mesandsim. Palest lager I’ve ever had. Thin white head. Bad sweaty empty, grainy aroma. Really bad. I mean it has no body or flavour, touch of lemon on end that’s it.

Can, in comparison with karlsquell. karsquell came out a winner here. Cara smells awful and skunky. Appears very pale golden, head is white with large bubbles and fast fading. Metal flavors and dry hops. Watery.

Clear golden blond cloured beer white average white head and few carbanation. Malty herby aroma. Wattery palate. Finish is short, little herby, dry and sweet. Not good at all.
