COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black beer, strong and nutritive, with a high body flavor. It has a toasted malt aroma, accentuated bitterness content and medium alcoholic content. Because it is not filtered, it contains yeast and, therefore, it is a great food complement. Ingredients - potable treated water, toasted malted barley, non-malted cereals, carbohydrates, hops, caramel dye

For me, Caracu is one of the best beeers of Brazil. It´s a stout but not so bitter as Guiness. Dark color, some taste of coffee. it´s one of most tradicional brazilians beer. "For those who don’t drink honey, but instead chew bees"

Accidentally discarded my rating, but since I only had one and I remember enough I’m scoring it anyway. Doesn’t taste as hoppy as most stouts, but isn’t too sweet either. A pleasant dark beer, that could be drank like a session beer. Good stuff. No. 1 Brazilian beer I’ve had.

Aroma - sweet molasses. Appearance - average head, off white - mostly diminishing - black in color. Initial flavor - sweet and gets a little bitter near the end. Full bodied - overall a good stout.

Very good strong bock. Very dark with browned head. Toasted cofee and a little bit of chocolate, sweet. Last time i tried to mix it up with another beer (Devassa Tropical Lager) and.... SUPRISE!!!! it got even better!!!!!!! if you have the oportunity, try it. Bottle of Caracu anf a bottle of Devassa Tropical Lager in a 1L glass. This misture was of the best "beer" i ever tried!!!!

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2006 Pours a very dark and cloudy black color with some red undertones. The head is light brown with good retention and leaves a nice film and lacing. Impressive smokey aroma. It seems like a combination of a stout and a smoked beer (I haven’t tasted a Rauchbier yet). There are notes of prunes, figs and hints of coffee. Tobacco is also present. Flavor is sweet and has traces of sweetened coffee, mokka, figs and tobacco smoke. Sweet with almost no bitterness, but very roasty character. Weird but pleasant. Soft, velvety palate. Just a little more thickness would help this to be great. Good sweet finish and aftertaste. I feel the smoke for minutes after sipping this. A little more bitterness to offset the sweetness would make this beer world class. So Brazil has its highlights too....many thanks to my brother for this one.

Best Brazilian beer I have ever had. Very dark with a medium sized head. Aroma was cocoa and coffee. Full bodied with a complex flavor ending sort of like sweet mocha. No hops tasted. Went down rather smooth.

This is a sort of guinnes draught clone. Pours out opaque black with a nice dark tna head. The aroma is non-descript but reveals a hint of coffee. Flavour is fairly good with some roasted coffee and chocolate flavour. Great creamy guinness like mouthfeel. It’s greta when people know you have a beer collection cause they bring you things like this.
