Had this at the amazing Frau Gerold Garten in Zürich after a long day walking off a mountain and through the city on a warm day. At this very moment in the late afternoon this beer is perfect.

Clear golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, cardboard and metal. Medium-bodied; Sharp metallic taste and some light hop and citrus notes, but way more malt, cardboard and metal tastes than anything else. Aftertaste isn’t horribly bitter, but not super fresh and clean. Overall, not a great beer - but you could expect that just from looking at the can. Decent for a train trip to Italy, which is when I drank it. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from CoOp grocery store in Visp, Switzerland for CHF1,50 sampled a day later on 11-November-2009.

A veru watery lager. Ok for the price.

From a 50cl can, courtesy of Arve_Christian. Pours pale golden with a minimal white head. Lightly fruity aroma with hints of malt. Lightly sweet with almost no bitterness. Not much flavour in this one. Drinkable, but pretty flavourless.

Bought can at Coop in Langenthal, Switzerland. Golden color, some foam. Light body and complexity? Low taste intensity. Pretty standard industrial

The beer at the Butterfly in Zermatt, where I stay once or twice a year. When I say ’the beer’ I do mean ’the only beer’ - not one of the hotel’s finest features. This is drinkable enough but doesn’t have much about it - just an average continental lager. The only real criticism other than that is that it is a bit fizzy when drunk quickly.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavour is sweet, fruit, malt, hop. Boring beer.

Pale yellow of colour with a white head. An aroma of vegetables, butter, malt and sweets. A flavour bread, flour, hops and butter.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, minerals. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120217]
