COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed with toasted grains and shows that typical bitterness given by the hops. Top fermented, dark, opaque and creamy, with an evident hoppiness. Stout was originated in London like a strong variation of porter. Lot´s of tropical countries have their own strong stouts and people love to match them with oysters and mouless.

Bottle - May 2006 Pours a black color with a nice brown head. Aroma is rather neutral, maybe some chocolate. Taste is robust, creamy, medium to thick body, maybe in the lines of an oatmeal stout. A good stout, maybe it lacks some bitternes or kick to it.

A dark brown beer with a nice beige head. Chocolate aroma. Taste is roasted and coffee. Notes of brown sugar. Very nice mouth feel, thick and full body.

Bottled, thanks Fukito! Apperance: Very dark brown with a huge creamy head and lots of lacing. Aroma: Cocoa, Roasted malt, Salt, Dark bread and liqorice. Flavor: Salt, Cocoa, Roasted malt, Coffee. Palate: Very thin and disappoiting body but flavorwise it is an ok beer.

Thanks to Sprinkle for sharing this one
Pours a dark brown, black at first sight. Head is big, foamy and beige colored. It recedes after a while and leaves a lacing. Aroma is roasty, malty lush and nice. Chocolate, raisins, oats and some molasses are clearly dominating. Flavor is medium strong, chocolatey with cocoa flavors all over the place. Rather sweet with no hops anywhere. Enjoyable. Body is medium, not very complex but good. Excessive carbonation in my opinion, finish is long and leaves a nice chocolatey aftertaste. A good stout, fairly well brewed. Everything is in place but nothing is very impressive.

Thanks to Gustavo, Cardos’ brewer! A classic Irish-style stout, very much in the dryish Cork tradition, and not really a "cream" stout at all - but that doesn’t matter as this is a superb beer - a well balanced roasty, chalky, burnt matches and even coal-like flavour, fairly dry and bitter, with some liquorice hints in the lovely bitter/nutty/fruity/burnt finish. Excellent stuff.

Black body topped by an initially large but quickly diminishing tan head that. The aroma is really not stout-ish. Barely and roastiness on the nose. Taste is almost as unstout as the aroma. Empty body with some crunched dried cereals and a carbonation that takes way too much room. A little touch of roastiness and that’s it. No hops presence whatsoever Very little flavour, not even tasty enough to be bad. Very very dry. They call it a cream stout!?! About as creamy as a bucket of beach sand.

My Bottom Line:
The aftershave-like muskiness forming this Stout’s nose and the apparently enfeebled flavors which followed were definite signs of something going awry in this bottle. Very drinkable and bubbly, this was a head scratcher of a sparkling Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Very foamy upon pouring, embellishing the brown-sleeved black for a few moments.
-Roastiness is overly mild, but apart from that, the dark malt apport is negligeable.
-This bottle was as far from "creamy" as it could get.
-Raisiny fruitiness did add some much needed character to the flavor profile.
-The frothy carbonation would have worked in a buoyant Belgian Ale, but definitely not in such a Stout.

Bottle; best before July 29th, 2007.

Thanks to <a href=http://ratebeer.com/View-User-18890.htm> Fukito for this one, you’re a great guy! Pours a dark body, with a small beige head, fair lacing. Aroma is strong, sweet, of burnt sugar, chocolate, raisins. Flavor is roasted, wooden with notes of coffee, nuts clear but a bit light. Finely carbonated, bitter finish.

Bottled. Dark brown, almost black with very rich and lively beige foam. Rich and a bit tfat aroma of chocolate, cookies and oat-porridge. Roasty and creamy flavour of vanillacookies, porridge and light chocolate. Mild but long finish of roasted malts and nuts.

Bottled, thanks Fukito! Black, very lively beige head. Fatty chocolate aroma. Dry and roasty with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Some coffee is there, but cocoa is much more prominent. Finishes with a similar bitterness as dark chocoalate.

Deep dark stout with a thin moka head, very classy. Light chocolate aroma with roasted coffee beans. Good chocolate in mouthm creamy mouthfeel, and medium bodied. A very nice stout. Bottle at Cossab, shared with Fukito and Guillermo.
