It’s hard to believe how weak looking this beer was and how bad it tasted. I guess if I lived in Trinidad or Tobago I would just thank the gods that I just had beer, even this.

Pale gold in color, with a full head. Kind of bland, but drinkable. Has some light hay and biscuit notes.

Pale golden with a brief white head. Sourish and cereal aroma. Flavour with rubber and cigarette-ashes. Low, or no, bitterness.

bottle, thank you jaghana! Clear golden yellow with some small floaties, mid-sized white head. Sweet and slightly grainy, hints of sweetcorn. Very shy hoppy finish.

This looks pretty poor. Head disappears immediately. Painful yellow color. No real smell. This has a very pronounced flavor of cheap malt. Maybe on a hot summer day in the Caribbean this would be tolerable, but I’m not there, so it isn’t.

June 2008: 275ml Clear bottle poured into a half-pint tumbler while on holiday in Tobago. The view from the balcony, the sun and warmth it gave made this almost taste OK, almost being the main thing! Typical lager appearance, very pale golden yellow with a thin white head that legged it to leave a minute collar around the glass. My normal score of 3 for an aroma-less lager. Almost tasteless, even as it warmed in the heat no flavours came to me. Weak and watery, soul less and wet.

12oz bottle - pours gold with quickly diminishing white head. Nose is molasses and/or corn. Flavor adds a definite corn answer to the nose and light grassy hops. taste is light sweet. light to medium body. Too sweet for a lager - how can I mow drinking this? Buroy.

Looks as refreshing as it tastes and that’s all I can say to compliment this lager. No depth or body, no hop. Won’t return.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Pershore Road, Birmingham. Extremely pale - looks like Fosters, watered down Fosters at that with a high amount of visible fizz. Thin, patchy head. Aroma is hops mixed with car park stairwell. Tastes sweet, lacking any real bitterness and with an unpleasant rotten cabbage aftertaste. If a beer has no flavour I give it 2 out of 10; I reserve the lowly 1 out of 10 for beers such as this that actually taste unpleasant. This tastes like it has been drunk before. At time of writing this is the second worst beer I’ve ever had after Miller Genuine Draft. Difficult to drink. Truly awful.

Metalchopz (1427) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 10, 2012
Originally rated February 2005. This Caribbean Lager pours a pale yellow-golden colour with a surprisingly good white creamy-foam head. The lacing that was left was very nice, and so was the thin layer of froth that stayed on the brew the whole time. The scent was of malts, bitter-sour and sweet. The mouth contained slight bitterness and some sweetness. Medium body and a light taste of lemon-lime in also found. A pretty good "hot-as-hell-summer" beer, and a damn good alternative to Corona.
