2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 CoolerKing (14) - Burlington, - APR 24, 2005
Almost black in colour with a slight reddish tone. Fruity aroma, hint of raisins and chocolate. Very sweet in taste with a bit too much carbonation. The Jolt cola of the stout world...

Sweet taste with a dark color. White head. Roasted malt flavor with a nice fry finish.

Bottle from random supermarket in St John’s, Antigua. Black with a tan head. Nose of sweet charred malts. Similarly sweet flavour with a hint of metal. No world beater but just about bearable chugged down in the sun with a little wadadli bless.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 solidfunk (652) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2012
Smells of bitter coffee, though the aroma isn’t super prominent. Pours with a mocha head that has some staying power, a little lacing. Aftertaste is when this starts to go bad - too much sugary sweetness. The high alcohol goes bad with so much sugar. Bottle.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 toffsbury (65) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 11, 2012
Bottle from the LCBO. Opaque black with a thick creamy brown head. Looks very promising. Not much to say about the aroma... a bit malty, and, well, unremarkable. (Couldn’t find "new shoes", Kevin.) Flavour is bizarre, however... it doesn’t taste like beer, so much as like a reduced-sugar Coke. As I drink this it feels exactly as if I’m drinking Coke. No noticeable alcohol or hops or anything, just... well... Coke. Which is actually pretty OK if you’re hanging out in the back yard on a sunny day.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2012
Brown 275ml bottle drank while on holiday in Tobago. Best before Nov 2008, consummed Jun 2008.
Very dark, a true black brew with a dark tan head, which sadly faded away to fast for me.
The aroma was fairly weak, some burnt malts but little else.
The taste was sweet, treacle and malts, burnt like the smell.
Rich in the mouthfeel, but not creamy or milky, nor the dryness some Stouts have.
A different Stout without a doubt, not unpleasant, but not a new found favourite either.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ryan82SM (837) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 24, 2012
Aroma of dark berries, apple, coffee and chocolate. Appearance is black with dark bone head. Flavor matches the nose, but with some slight waffle cone. Palate is cooling with light carbonation. A stout for warmer weather; interesting and tasty.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 kevinsenn (329) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - APR 23, 2012
Bottle from LCBO. Pours black with a light brown head. The aroma completely ruins this beer for me; it’s 30% "sweet stout", and 70% "new shoes". And while "new shoes" is not always an offensive odor (it is quite pleasant when coming from, say, actual new shoes), smelling that every time I’m about to take a sip of beer was awful. Once I was able to get past that, the taste was actually acceptable: toffee, cream, and a slight roastiness, and only the faintest hint of that "new shoe" taste appeared very near the end as the beer was warming.

Bottle. Pours a thick motor oil color with a big bubbly head and aromas of brown sugar and a little chocolate. Flavor is a cloying mess and this beer ended in the drain. Yuck!
