A very solid beer that is soo cheap that it almost begs you to buy it...and i do often

Carling Black Label, made in South Africa or from Canada. We’ll never know the truth! A average, standard beer our earlier generations drank probably while hanging drywall or fishing the day away. Great cold, just a good generic beer.

Clear light urine. Fizzy white head ambles down to nothing. Barely any carbonation. Not much aroma, a little rice maybe and some syrup. Chemical free. Mildly crisp. Mellow body, light and artificially sweet. Not very bitter at all. Sweetness is irritating. Light body. Not much malt, just a sweetened paper flavor. Not bland but the sweet flavor is annoying. Finish able, barely.

I too am confused as NJBeerman013 was. How can Carling of Canada be made in the USA. And what’s this nonsense about South Africa. It was malty. I was on mescaline. Nuff Said.

Hmm... I am confused. The can says Carling of Canada, but it also says Product of The USA. Now this says South Africa. Anyhow, not a bad beer as far as ’beer’ goes.

Used to get the Canadian version of Black Label in college, used it for beer games. It was key to call them Black Labs, and a case a kennel. If the South African version is the same, then.....don’t bother.
