It?s an o.k. malt liqour beer, better from the bottle then the can. Best priced beer on the canadian market. Taste is a little liqoury.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2012 I grew up drinking this beer, when I joined the Armed Forces I drank this beer " back in the day we called it High Test", I could even play the song on a guitar, you may remember, "Okeefs extra old stock Great Big Taste!" now after being to Belgium a few times I’m all about quality craft beer, but if I was working in my garage or mowing the lawn on a hot summer day, I would never turn one of these bad boys down, they pour golden amber and have a rich malty nose & a crisp refreshing malty finish, this is my favorite Cheap Quaffing Beer!

341ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is grains and hops. Taste is undesirable hop bitterness with a hint of malts. Slightly above average for the style, nothing special.

Grainy corny nose light green apple. Sweet. Golden creamy white head not much lace. Sweet corn flakes flavor. That’s it. Not unpleasant. Drinkable.

This was the original party beer of my youth and turned me off beer for many, many years. Smells of wet socks and vomit, lumberjack shirts, and stale nicotine smoke. Tastes like cardboard and wool. These days when out in the cabin I prefer turpentine.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2009 Yahoo! The famous "high test" from my early 30’s. Never could drink more than a couple of these without suffering a rippin’ hangover the next day. Now apparently I can sink 7 or 8 and live to tell about it. Looks and smells okay, but still with the unforgettable "malt likker" taste. Say no more.

A classic for members of the Legion! Old people unite! Looks decent enough. Poured out a monstorous white cap which took quite a while to simmer down to the customary skim. Lots of lacing left from this plain gold brew. Smells just wonderful - barley, slightly sweet and just enough urine to keep you coming back for more. Taste is easy enough to hammer back - tasty malts, stale apple juice and corn. Light medium bodied, good carbonation with mild bitterness. Leaves a sharp sour taste in your mouth. Now crush the can on your forehead and continue. Or fill it full of cigarette butts. The choice is yours.

341ml bottle.
Golden amber coloured beer with a medium sized white head. Aroma of dusty malts. Sweet flavour, a little bready although thin. Not great but has some substance.
