thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Jan 18, 2009 Figured I’d go ahead and rate this. Aroma was decent. Little yeast, little malt. Mostly just beer aroma. Flavor was surprisingly decent. Not strong at all, very light, but decent, average beer pale lager, a style that really doesnt have much flavor in the first place. Overall...eh. Not great. Better than I expected though. RateBeerMan (39), , Tyne & Wear, England Dec 27, 2008 A beer that may help explain the chav culture of engerlanddddd. Remove the likes of carling and stella and fosters and give them good beer.. No points left for a rubbish beer. kamish (92), Lake Stevens, Washington, USA Dec 12, 2008 eh. ive had betterrrrrrrr.rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA Dec 4, 2008 hey it really isnt that bad for what it is an old mans swill has a little bit of off flavors but easy to drink 5.00 a 12 cant complain gerzm22 (107), , Florida, USA Nov 21, 2008 it was 6 bucks for a 12er enough said, it was drinable but that being said i would ot recommend it. good times were had though MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2008 Can. Mine also says "Heileman Brewery" and looks as cheapdark said below. Not bad. Very cheap and better than the typical US mass market lager (though not by too much. ) Botnik (101), Carrollton, Texas, USA Oct 24, 2008 I had this beer back in the late ’60s when I was a teen. Anyway, I got drunk and sick. Couldn’t stand the smell of beer for decades. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 1, 2008 Updated: Sep 5, 2008Well, this is a red can with a tilted rectangular black label logo. I’m not sure how this can be Molson since the side of the can says G.Heileman Brewing, Milwaukee, WI 53201. I know Heileman is part of Pabst which is owned by SAB Miller so what’s going on I don’t know. Underneath the black tilted logo it says over a century of international brewing tradition. Also, even tho the logo says Carling Canada, it says product of the USA! Founded in 1840. Confusing!!? Sure is, I think it should be listed under Miller, not Molson. Anywho the big guys say its the same beer as this one so here it goes:
Takes two cans to fill up my 24 oz mug. Barely any visible carbonation in this pale yellow ubiquitous american lager. Aroma is non-offensive and smells like many other pale macro lagers. Pretty good tingly carbonation. Flavor is easy to get along with and rather friendly. Seems to have more alky than the 4% listed here. Not too bitter and has just enough bite to let you know it is beer. Not watered down, good beer body. Nice tingly fine carbonation thru the session. Finish is non offensive and rather refreshing compared to other cheap lagers.
