Yup. Cheap. Clear yellow, bubbly, not much head. Aroma is tinny with corny, and wet wool sock. Drinkable, but the tinniness shines through, decent on a hot day with nothing else at hand.

Can. Quite enjoyed this beer. Bought it because it was cheap. Golden coloured, white head. Probably great on tap.

Bottle of the Canadian version. My mass produced Candian pale lager rating has Moosehead on top, a jumbled mess of Molson and Labatt concotions and then Black Label somewhere beneath. Don’t get me wrong, NONE of these are biers to seek out and buy.

# 400. Thanks to Joel for making me stain my Riedel with this horse piss. Aroma of grain, wet grass. Slightly skunky and musty. Pours pale gold with a huge white head that quickly disappeared. Not a whole lot of flavor, but that leaves nothing to be offended by. Slightly grainy and malty with a hint of sugary sweetness. Fairly thin on the palate, but has a bit of weight to it. Not horrible. Actually, better than expected.

Meh. The can is terrible, but on tap is fine for a smoky pub. Some aroma, but substitute yellow water in front of my nose and I probably couldn’t tell the difference. Better than smelling skunky I suppose.

Had this in Westmidlands Jan, 07. Better than Fosters but thats not saying much. Kind of tastes like Pabst Blue Ribbon, but a bit worse. Not much to say.. sub par lager.

I had a really tough time getting past the smell of this beer. It is just unpleasantly cereal-y and reminds me of everything I don’t like about bad beer. Combine that with a rather unimpressive appearance and a light yet unpleasant cereal flavor, and you have yourself a real winner here...I’d rather have a Miller Lite any day.

500 ml can. Golden color, fine white head. Some malt, and that´s it. I don´t understand why they sell this in Norway.

Tastes just like Pabst. A great cheap beer - I used to get this for $8 a case. Clean and standard tasting macro lager.

Black Label does hold nostalgia for me, but that version of Black Label was brewed in LaCrosse, Wisconsin by G. Heilman in the early 90’s. Since then I haven’t had a Black Label in 12+ years. However, I do find the Black Label story fascinating, how a budget bastard stepchild beer here in the States with no advertising can be so damn sucessful as ’Carling’ in the UK. I purchased a 12-pack for a little over six bucks and got to know Black Label all over again. Consumed over a month I can remember why I enjoyed Black Label. The beer has no real flavor, easy to drink, and lower in alcohol. I can see why this yellow lager is so popular in the UK. I’d buy it again for tailgating. Best combo I had was Black Label & blueberries while watching ’Borat’
