COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Ingredients: Burton water; White Lager malt; English hops (varies); yeast.
"The great balance of taste and refreshment". Britain’s best selling beer since 1971.
<a href=http://www.carling.com>Website

The "Black Label" has been dropped from the name in the UK. The brand, originally Canadian, was launched multinationally in the 1960s and since then ownership fell into the hands of different breweries in different countries. The original Carling O’Keefe brewery that developed this beer was purchased by Molson in the 1980s. Coors later purchased both Molson and the UK license holders Bass. Carling Black Label is still brewed in Canada

Bottle. Aroma sweetish, diacetyl and cooked corn. Clear colour golden. Sugary candyish taste with more of all that is in aroma. Seriously flawed beer that at least somehow remains a bit drinkable.

On tap at my local, The White Lion, Mere Green/Four Oaks. Pours clear gold, single finger white head.. Aroma of light malts, grains, grass. Taste of initial sweetness, light malts, some caramel, grains, grass, nothing great, very watery. Poor.

Pours clear golden color, topped with a medium foamy white head that soon settles down. Malty aroma, some notes of grains and a bit grassy. Sweet, a bit watery, almost no bitterness to speak of. Dry finish with a bit metallic aftertaste. Not unpleasant, just not that good.

Not bad considering its dirt cheap, Its not fair comparing it to a more expensive lager, you get what you pay for
