"The great balance of taste and refreshment". Britainís best selling beer since 1971.

The "Black Label" has been dropped from the name in the UK. The brand, originally Canadian, was launched multinationally in the 1960s and since then ownership fell into the hands of different breweries in different countries. The original Carling OíKeefe brewery that developed this beer was purchased by Molson in the 1980s. Coors later purchased both Molson and the UK license holders Bass. Carling Black Label is still brewed in Canada

Draught pint, cold and refreshing. But not much taste and negligible aroma. Pale yellow with white head that quickly disappears. Watery and thin. Letís be fair, this is for necking on a hot day, not for noting the subtlety of flavour.

Pours golden with a fairly compact head. Aroma of not loads but sweet malt, taste is light gentle malt and light bitter finish A bog standard easy drinking lager, quite refreshing served cold. Certainly there are so many tastier beers but I donít think Iíve ever had a íbadí beer. Itís ok just not the tastiest out there.

Pint and 500ml can. Pours well - golden yellow with good head. That is far as the positives go. Bland, indistinctive and weak-tasting. Would not recommend it

Skunk in itís best! Piss-yellow color with a classic lager-style foam, not really an aroma, and a taste like rotten eggs... Aftertaste??? Yeah right!!

Appearance- orangy yellow, white head with tight bubbles. Aroma- not much, a bit of corn and cereal. Taste- bitter, thin mouthfeel, nothing much going on at all. Basically fizzy bitter water.

Pours clear golden yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma has malty and grainy notes. Flavor...what flavor itís like drinking water only some light notes malt/corn i think.

Had this out of a multipack can and it just wasnít good at all. It gave it an aluminium taste, its watery and has a very bland taste not much too it really! It pours yellow with a massive foamy head. It didnít go down to well for me I just didnít enjoy it at all.

pale yellow colour, huge white head; aroma of some grass, cardboard and maybe some maltyness; horrible taste (some grassy hops, maltyness, cardboard and sourish notes...itís a disaster!)

Subjected to a night of bad beer in the Redcar comedy club, I eventually turned to Carling. My expectations were very low, and it was actually a little better than I was expecting. Sure itís a pretty bad lager, but itís not the worst of the big brands.

I always think people are a little hard on carling. Sure it's everywhere and it's pretty cheap, but it's refreshing solid and we've seen some good times together. It's not a great beer but I'd choose it over fosters any day .
