3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle shared with multiple people at Savori. Aroma: chocolate, roasted malt, coffee. App: dark brown, minimal beige head. Taste and palate: full body, creamy, smooth, really light bitter finish. Overall: good but lacking in taste but probably because it?s too cold

Nitro pour. The beer is a velvety black with a khaki head of foam. The aroma has hints at chocolate and toffee. Some mild bitterness kicks in towqrd the finish. Creamy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep brown to black, Two finger beige head momentally getting a thick film. Perfect lacing on glass. Nose of roasted malts & coffee, a dusty note, minimal vegetables. The flavour is not really that dry. Light malty sweetness. Coffee. Proper amount of hop bitterness. Medium body. Thin to oily. The finish is malty & hoppy at the same time. Generally a very decent brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, poorly retained beige head, over a clear brownish black (SRM 35) body......nose is roasted malts with coffee, lighter chocolate, herbal hops, no esters, balance to the malts......taste is dry, with heavy roasted malts, with coffee, dominant over chocolate, finishing with a moderate roasted malt, hop bitterness.....mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. This is a relatively simple Dry Stout, with the roasted malts almost totally dominant. However, it does meet the style quite nicely, because it is an Irish Stout. BJCP 9/3/15/4/8

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated based on notes from 24 May 2012 -- Very very drinkable enjoyable stout. A little on the sweet side for a dry stout, but I thoroughly enjoyed drinking this regardless.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml. bottle @ home. Purchased @ Malt Attacks. Dark brown, reasonably big creamy, light mocha head. Nose is umami, light roast, touch thin, some chocolate syrup, cheap oak,… Not impressive but substantial enough. Taste is herbal, light umami, cheap instant coffee, thin chocolate milk, thin ashes,… Thin, ashy, faint cheap chocolate syrup, quite herbal,… Not really for me, too herbal, thin, cheap instant coffee etc. Lingering watery ashes & cheap roasted instant coffee. Good as a better Guinness Draught but not really for me. This is macro brew for the people who aren’t into stouts etc. This is def. lush enough for them but not a beer geek like me.
