I’m not going to say that this tastes better in Ireland, like most yahoos say about Guinness, but it was probably the dish I had with it that made the coffee flavors stand out. Dark but not thick, carbonation a slight bit too high, easy to drink, nice roasted coffee bean and vanilla, lovely

On tap, Sheridan’s pub Zagreb. 500 ml bottle from Vrutak. Pours black with great creamy thick head. Medium to full body. Roasted coffee aroma, coffee bitter flavor. A great stout, but the bottled version is not that good.

.5l bottle. Large tan head that faded quickly with little lacing. Fabulous aroma of coffee beans and tar. Light carbonation and body light and smooth. Sweet robust coffee flavour with lingering aftertaste. I did not get bitterness as I had chilled. Even better with food as taste can be overpowering at first. Impressed.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark brown, close to black with a large and fluffy tanned head. Nutty aroma with light roasty notes and malts. Malty flavor with notes of tar, ash and a decent bitter and dry finish. Creamy on the palate despite the low abv.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of burnt French pressed mocha. Straight black, minimal head. Very strong wood bitter with some fungal rot. Not sweet at all, and dry it is. Crispy, crunchy body, although light enough to be taken down. Not to be confused with the silky nitrogenized stouts.
