This stout has a robust flavour with a ful bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Kauge (102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja food department (€ 2,15) in May 2014. Pours slightly brownish black with a small light beige head. Aroma is an intense mix of roasted coffee beans, smoked plums, very dark chocolate, notes of bitter hops and some cocoa, also a wee bit metallic. Behind all that maybe even tiny hints of black olives and liquorice. Gets more smoky as it warms. Taste is cold espresso and chocolate, rather bitter, acidic, metallic. Body and carbonation is on-the-spot medium, the latter giving it an enjoyable crispness. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth. Finish is dry with a lingering aftertaste of coffee and somewhat bitter. Really enjoyable stuff!

Flight done at Brewers Corner in Kilkenny. Samples healthy portion, 8 oz. Tasty notes as follows: Irish Stout: coffee, dry, tasty Irish Pale Ale: good pun on name, good flavor, nice hop balance Irish Red: strong alcohol flavor, finish is taste of pool water, hard to finish, biased against style in general, had in nitro as well which was more enjoyable Helles Lager: crisp, mild hop finish Natural Blonde: drinkable, koslh-esque? Leann Follain: Barrel aged flavor, enjoyable like most irish dry stouts Double IPA: Boozy, strong hop flavor, not up there with the good ones Widow Retro Pale Ale: conservative, middle of the road, not offensive but not great Amber Adventure: tastes similar to pale ale, hops present and noticeable, bitter, caramel malt Winter Star: spicy, winer holiday flavor

At world of beer with Taylor. Pours big creamy fluffy with grey head. Aroma is rotton coolaid, big milk note, like straight from the fucking cow’s utter. Taste is same as aroma, shitty. Would only bang again if desperate.

Brown 500ml bottle "Irish Stout" abv4.3% pours a light brown head on a black body. Dusty malts and hints of burnt coffee to the nose. Roasted malts in taste, spices, cocoa, notes of chocolate, Flourish mild on palate, a bit too much carbonation, slightly watery. Mild chocolate sauce in the finish, dry bread, faint hint of berries.
