COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout has a robust flavour with a ful bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2013 Pint, nitro @ L Mullingan Grocer. Looks fantastic, black with a creamy white head. Not much aroma through the nitro head. Burnt roast malt in the flavour. Creamy mouthfeel, flay carbonation. More roastiness in the finish. Nice, will rate again when i can find it off the nitro.Re-rated from the bottle, what a difference. Dark chocolate, liquorice notes in the aroma and flavour, thick, lush mouth feel. Nice saltiness too. Why drink any stout on nitro? Excellent.

A solid stout. Good bitterness from the hops that lingers. Oatmeal and coffee from the malt. Quite traditional - not sweet.

Tiefschwarzes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, Kaffee, Schokolade. Geschmack röstmalzig trocken nach Kaffee, leicht würzig und herb.

Weak aroma, but bold strike on the palate. Weak bitter flavor flows and stays after the taste. The benefit is after the taste you keep wanting that taste to stay alive. Beautiful drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a complete black with a medium beige/light brown head that leaves really nice lacing. Aroma is nutty, roasty and ever so slightly ashy. Taste is indeed dry, not a nip of sugar in there. Flavors are of roasted malt mostly, along with some light ash (not disturbing) and some vegetal notes. Body is medium-full, mouthfeel almost silky like some oatmeal stouts are. Good beer.

Black pour with a rocky light tan head that quickly recedes to nothing more than a ring around the glass. The aroma is a bit smokey malty with a wee touch of peat, but is light overall. Light body as well. And light flavored. Nothing more here than smokey roasted black malts and a mild kiss of roaast malt sweetness.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is darker brown, maybe light black with garnet hues visible all around the glass. There is a thick, pillowy light tan head that fades quite rapidly with no lace to be found. The aroma is chocolate, with a roast character that's almost forced. There is a strong dry character to it, but I'm not really sure what it's trying to be. The flavor is more of the same. There is a strong dry roast character and light chocolate. Maybe a hint of coffee, but nothing else. The mouth feel is really thin, and quite flat. There is a dry, roasty coffee aftertaste, but that might be the best quality of this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
