This stout has a robust flavour with a ful bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Comparable to bottle Guiness, this has a nice bitter roasted malt/hop bite, but is very light bodied, and finishes off rather quickly and weakly. It's still a nice session beer.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2015 Average brownish creamy head with medium retention. Clear dark brown, black appearance. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt with prune hints. Taste is roasted malt, cacao, grainy, and bitter with slight acidity and coffee-like finish with tobacco notes. Watery palate, smooth and a little sticky. Good dry stout.

Here’s a tasty stout. Bottle from the SAQ in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC. Poured a thick black, with a robust 2cm heat that lasted almost all the way to the bottom. Chocolate and coffee aromas, nice & roasty. Thick and creamy on the palate, with a mildly bitter finish that leaves the mouth asking for more. Very enjoyable.

Handpump at Tree Folk’s pub in Rome-Italy. Pours black color, tick brownish ivory head. Nose: grounded coffee beans, cappuccino, grounded barley (orzo). Mouth: soft carbonation with a medium frizzy end, fresh and clean, decently rich with a coffee character but also rough in a good way. Clean and hoppy finish almost hidden. A nice dry stout.

Dark with small head. Notes of coffee with some sweetness I can’t place. Makes a nice company for the rugby world cup; -)

Bottle. Black appearance with no foam. Light aroma of creamy coffee. Light bittersweet taste with coffee as the main notes. As irish stouts this is one of the best.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2015 Nice black colour, taste is a pretty bitter for my taste because of coffee, it has a low point of alcohol for dark beer

Pours dark brown haze colour, with light brown foamy tiny head. Aroma without not of an alcohol, with hints of roasted, chocolate and coffee. Flavor have firstly notes of coffee and chocolate, but in finish prevails some fruity-floral elements of hops. Unfortunately is finish somehow weak, slightly watery. However: malt sweetness is medium, hop bitterness also, carbonation is low, body mouth-coating.
