COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout has a robust flavour with a ful bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2011 Black with tan head; smooth and soft medium body with medium carbonation.

Aroma and flavor: lots of chocolate and roast malt with a hint of blackened malt, woodsy english hops.

Smooth and sessional, a pleasant surprise.

Tiefschwarz mit beigem Schaum. Trocken-malzger Geruch. Langer, intensiver Nachgeschmack.
Tolles Stout! --> 14/12/14/14

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2003 New...Retried this on tap, and boy howdy, is it good. Completely different beer. Everything you like about Guinness, without all the crap you don't, plus throw in some extra roastiness and nitro carbonation and you have a winner..................Old....Not bad. The taste is a little thin, in my opinion, and not much in the way of aroma. Roasted malts are very nice, very distinguished. This beer is very very smooth, and I can see it benefitting from a nitro tap. Good stuff, worth a try at least once.

On tap with a perfect pour. Solid tan finger of head with a black body. Smell of toasted and roasted malt. Amazing. Taste of dry burnt malt with mild bitterness. Great balance. Soft and crisp texture. Low carbonation. On-tap can’t go wrong with this one.

I just found this on tap locally, and being a sucker for new brands, I gave it a shot. I found this to be a very enjoyable stout! It has a strong roast bite on the front end with a slighty carmel sweet finish. Didn’t get the bitter aftertaste I find with most brands, which makes it one of the only stouts my wife will actually drink with me. I’ll add it to the shopping list!

Bottle from Slob Thanks!

Pours a rich black with a nice cream head. Aroma is a cross between Guinness and a fresh bag of coffee. Flavor is like a Guinness with a bit of roasted attitude. Much more malt definition than Guinness; a bit more gruff and less refined. Palate coats nicely. This is a very good Irish stout; a definite repeat.

Bottle. Brown creamy lasting head. Fair to call the bofy blsvk. The expected coffee hops aroma, a bit shapr though. Flavor: I hope to spell it right this time, liquorice. coffee, smooth hops, well done !!
