A full-bodied, full-on Double IPA combining caramel and malt flavours with a well-balanced and substantial bitterness, which is topped off by a tantalising hop aroma with notes of tangerine and grapefruit. Light carbonation allows the full flavour of this beer to shine through.

Clear medium to dark orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, candy, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, orange - citrus, tangarine. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, old hops, orange - tangarine, candy - sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150411]

Bottle at KØ15. Caramelly hop aroma. Clear shiny dark golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is sweet and nicely hoppy. A caramelly hoppiness. Sweet with a slightly rough bitterness. The alcohol presence is not very strong. A bit on the sweet side.

Draft pour. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has bitter pine herbal notes. Heavy resin. Kind of thin body and a bit medicinal. Astringent.

Bottle. Amber body with white head. Aroma is fruity with pine and hints of honey and caramel malts. Taste is also fruits mostly oranges and some biscuits. Aftertaste is bitter very nice balanced by some malt sweetness. Nice one.

Ipa double, avec sans jeu de mots, du malt d’orge et du froment non malté. Travaillé en dry hop, niveau abv de 7,5 % . Présentation en bouteille de 50 cl capsulée. Couleur ambre caramel, un peu artificiel. Clarté nette. Bulles fines en colonnes droites, assez vives. Mousse blanc cassé, crémeuse, stable à 3 mm. Arômes de malt grillé, cassonade, pointe de noix !!! 1ère bouche soyeuse à veloutée, à la belle prise de malt grillé, très (trop …pour le genre, s’entend). Arrière-bouche sans rapport au genre, amertume non fruitée. 2ème bouche pas très définie. Arrière-bouche qui ne précise rien. 3ème mieux fondue, amertume mieux définie, mais que vient faire ce candi brun ici ?? Arrière-bouche sympa, mais pas du tout dans une ipa. Longueur avec un assemblage très curieux, avec de la muscade, girofle, candi brun toujours. Jambes assez collantes. Levure incisive, ligne cassée. Alcool bien, mais inefficace sur l’harmonie. Finale sans envol, sans surprise. CONCLUSION : c’est d’abord, on l’aura compris, complètement hors du style !!! Ce n’est pas déplaisant, mais c’est inesthétique, contrairement au logo et à l’étiquette bien jolis … mais ce n’est pas ce que l’on voulait !!!
