COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg & bottled, special
A full-bodied, full-on Double IPA combining caramel and malt flavours with a well-balanced and substantial bitterness, which is topped off by a tantalising hop aroma with notes of tangerine and grapefruit. Light carbonation allows the full flavour of this beer to shine through.

Bottle at Mum and Dads, from Tesco Dundalk, 30/08/14. Clear golden amber with a well appointed light beige covering that dissipates then retains. Nose is caramel malt, citric sherbets, bitter orange, touch of grapefruit, woody notes. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, light grapefruit notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Drinkable, but as the APA I had from this brewer, rather pedestrian and ’entry level’ for style.

Bottled 500ml. -from Magic Beer Room Zagreb. Golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, fruit drops in the nose. Sweet malty, fruity and hoppy with some herbal notes. Notes of alcohol in the finish. Rather sweet one and nearly not the best DIPA I’ve tried.

500 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 7.5%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish notes of caramelized orange marmalade, crystal malts and citrussy and piney American hops. Medium sweet flavour, with the same elements as in the aroma. A little less sweetness and even more hops would be nice, but this is still not a bad shot at an "American" IPA.

Available, bottled, in Croatia for some time now. Go us. Would’ve missed it if I hadn’t stumbled upon a random blog which mentioned it. Seen it only at Sheridan’s so far. The label (importer’s?) says 10.7° and pretty much lies through its nose. Pours a clear, slightly, but only slightly darker amber body. Not that impressive, but I’m not sure if I could’ve expected otherwise. Fruity aroma, notes of apricot, maltiness, some aroma hops blended in too, not bad for now. The taste is actually sweeter than expected (way much more so than it would’ve been if it was 10.7° - is it even possible to get 7.5% out of that?!). Digressions aside, starts malty, ends in tobacco, along with a dry, bitter herbal hopiness. Vague pine here and there, though my mind was really in sleep mode. Not bad at all, but I’m not sure I’d pay nearly 4.5€ for a bottle again.
