Keg& bottles, regular.Dry hopped for extra aroma, this pale ale has a light malt base with just the right mouthfeel to allow the hop character to predominate. Grapefruit like bitterness is full and lasting and is balanced by a zesty citrus burst of aroma from two late additions of cascade hops.

50cl bottle @ Bull and Castle, Dublin. Thanks Dave.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Dry hopped. Golden colour, big white head. Strong fruity / citrussy aroma of Cascade and Amarillo hops, some hints of stale / rotting citrus peel too. The flavour is also citrussy and zesty, with a proper bitterness in the finish. Quite good.

Bottle: aroma is hoppy, some citrus, lemon zest and grapefruit, some light grassy notes as well, flavor, the same hoppy notes backed by bready malt, really nice, refreshing, great session beer.

A deep golden brew with a very high carbonation rate and modest white head that falls to a clumpy white film. Aroma has a modest citrus note, mild earthy hops and some light pale malt presence last. Flavor overall isn’t bad but it does trend a bit on the watery side, if not for the over carbonation, it would feel really watery. The hops not is much more subdued in the flavor but fits the style very well. A very earthy hops flavor hits first which transitions into a generic bitterness with a light pale malt graininess and then finishes with just a kiss of orange citrus flavor. Body is pretty light but the high amount of carbonation gives a false sense of body. A nice dryness hits the tongue right at the end. Great lacing is left on the glass. Overall not a bad brew but my one problem is the very high carbonation as it makes the beer feel more like a champagne.

500 ml @ Patricks. Clear, deep golden body with a dense off-white head. Relatively light aroma of fruit, grass and hint of caramel. Flavor is mild malt, caramel, citrus fruit and just a little tine hint of oxidation. Medium body, light and refreshing flavor, not much bitter. Not very exiting, but a nice thirst-quencher.

absolutely delicious, hoppy in the aroma and flavor, very reminiscent of sierra nevadas pale ale, or stones pale ale, west coast in the color and flavor. floral and citrusy with a little grapefruit. very easy to drink, and the direction this brewer should be going in, very good for irish micro brewing.

Bottle, at Patricks Pub. It’s a clear amber beer with a fingerthick off-white head. Fruity, grassy nose with a biscuity maltyness and some caramel. Some piney hops too. The flavor has a sweet caramel biscuity base and fruity, piney and grassy hops up front. Full body and a bit unpleasant carbonation. Too metallic in the end. Pleasant bitterness though. Nothing superb here, but it drinks easily and is far from bad. 110311
