3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wyzzywyz22 (1644) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2011
Bottle from O’Brien’s, Ashbourne, Co Meath. Poured a slightly hazy orange colour with a mid sized white head. Aroma and flavour had some notes of citrus and grassy hop. Pretty lively carbonation. Dry bitter finish. Straightforward, but perfectly drinkable and a decent take on the style. Ireland could do with more decent beer and this is a step in the right direction.

0.5L bottle from bestillingsutvalget, Vinmonopolet. Tall, shiny blond head. Slightly hazed, pale honey-golden body. Pleasant hop aroma; Flowers, grass faint spice and herbs. Taste is more than medium sweet, bordering on harsh. Light malty, some biscuit tones. Distinct, almost astringent bittereness. Lightly spiced, earthy and fruity hop flavor. Sharpish mouthfeel. Medium full. Bitter-sweet ending. Not very American-styled, yet a decent pale ale.

24/06 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It pourd golden to amber body with medium sized head. Nice rounded aroma, orange and biscuit, pretty much like jaffa cakes. Weaker flavor, some herbal and orange hops, cruder grainy malt besides biscuit as well. Still, it gave longer malty finish, dominated by its biscuity part. this brew was also quite fine for my taste, though grainy notes are cons for sure.

Light, dryish malt aroma. Light in caramel, overall very dry. Dry, slightly woody and bitterish finish. Medium body, soft texture, sticky hop bite in the finish.
