From a bottle purchased in Dubiln and consumed at our place in Carrickshock, Ireland. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head and good lacing. Nose of floral and citrus hops. Medium body. Nice smooth mouth feel. Flavor is a mix of the those floral and citrus hops. Finish is citrus and lightly bitter. Good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Mum and Dads, from Tesco Dundalk, 30/08/14.
Clear golden with a well appointed off white head that dissipates but still retains as a sizeable mass.
Nose is light soap, citric notes, caramel, bready, faint vanilla, light orchard.
Taste comprises light tropical vibes, bread dough, light spice, vanilla, caramel malt, hint of pine.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close.
Whilst drinkable, a fairly pedestrian beer for the style, lacks in po presence.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear light amber with a small, off-white head. Fruity aroma with grassy hops, citrus and pine. The flavour mirrors the aroma. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A nice and balanced pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy gold pour with a 2 finger, creamy to chunky off white head. Aroma is bright apple heavy tree fruit, citrus and floral hops, biscuit, English yeast fruity esters a little toffee and light spicy notes. Flavor is toast and biscuit up front leading to citrus rind, dusty dried stone fruit, light medicinal notes, planty, fruity and floral hops, citrus rind and light spicy/herbal hops and mineral notes to the finish. Light to medium body with a creamy entry, medium, blanketing carbonation and dry finish with a mineral dryness to the finish. Good stuff overall, more English style to me.

Geruch leicht C-hopfigm ansonsten aber vor allem herb. Im Geschmack auch, zum ende hin leicht astringierend. Ein PA ohne massiv C-Hopfen! ;)

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear yellow-amber. Aroma is rather sweet fruity with citrus and exotic stuff. Taste on the other hand is rather bitter, and haven't Got much Else to offer. Pretty weak aromas. Still pretty good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pint on-tap at La Bon Crubeen, Dublin, Ireland (€5.70):
Sweet with some good earthy notes & a freshness from the background fruits with some malts & further sweetness. Not overly strong but manages to strike the right balance with a nice, slightly bitter finish & a few extra fruits thrown in too.
Clear, light amber colour with a creamy white head that is about 2cm & holds great with almost no initial movement & some nice bits of lacing left on the sides of the glass.
Very hoppy tasting, more so than I expected with the dry hopping paying off. There was a solid bitterness with some citrus & pine coming through alongside some of the earthy malts that featured on the nose. There was also a sweetness throughout & plenty of background fruits with some caramel too.
Smooth on the palate with a bitter and quite hoppy feel thanks to the dry hopping. The beer was dry with medium carbonation but held a good balance from the start.
A very nice tasting American pale ale and one that surprised me in just how good it was, I wasn’t expecting anything like this. It is a beer I hope to pick up again at some point and I undoubtedly will if I can manage to find it in Scotland.
