COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg& bottles, regular.Dry hopped for extra aroma, this pale ale has a light malt base with just the right mouthfeel to allow the hop character to predominate. Grapefruit like bitterness is full and lasting and is balanced by a zesty citrus burst of aroma from two late additions of cascade hops.

Pours a clear looking orange color with a small white head. Beautiful refreshing smell of citrus. Mouthfeel is wonderful. Starts off soft and creamy but then high carbonation hits in. It’s like the citrus aroma and bitterness comes straight from the bubbles - tingly sensation on the tongue is top notch and very refreshing. Finish is mostly dry and bitter. Overall, this is a great example of the style. Recommended!

Grass, pencil shavings, caraway and thyme on the nose. Clear amber, medium yellow head, nice lacing. Honey, orange peel, dough. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Seems to have a herbal spiciness I often find in rye beers. Quite nice.

0.5 l bottle at Vihreä Haltiatar, Jyväskylä. Copper color with good head retention. Tart fruity aroma with flowery and lemony hops. Dry flowery and lemony flavor with notes of minerals. Firm bitterness, very hop-forward beer. Light bodied and drinkable. Fairly close to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Bottle @ Republikken, Kolding.
Pours clear orange amber with a medium, staying, creamy, off-white head. Good lacings. Aroma has good, fresh hoppiness, peachy. A hint of metal. Low carbonation, a bit light but fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, light malty, doughy, light biscuity. Fine fruity and floral hoppiness with a good, bitter bite. Quite delicious.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Dry hopped. Golden colour, big white head. Strong fruity / citrussy aroma of Cascade and Amarillo hops, some hints of stale / rotting citrus peel too. The flavour is also citrussy and zesty, with a proper bitterness in the finish. Quite good.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Ashbourne, Co Meath. Poured a slightly hazy orange colour with a mid sized white head. Aroma and flavour had some notes of citrus and grassy hop. Pretty lively carbonation. Dry bitter finish. Straightforward, but perfectly drinkable and a decent take on the style. Ireland could do with more decent beer and this is a step in the right direction.
