12oz bottle. Pours a clear ruby-hued mahogany with a nice off-white head and good carbonation. Aroma is earthy and smoky, with hints of grain, smoke, wood, anise, and a bit of hops. Flavor is light-bodied and flat, with an unexpectedly sweet flavor of banana, anise, cloves, and hops giving way to a dry finish of smoke and wood. Interesting flavors, but uninspired character.

RE-RATE: It’s just as malty and fruity as before, but as I’ve been drinking this I’ve noticed it’s a bit over carbonated. That is really my only compaint.

Bottled 33cl. It pours a beautiful deep amber beer with a creamy, nicely lasting lightly tanned head. Wheaty smoky nose. Sweet smoky taste. Wheat, licorice, nutmeg, mince pies, berries, incense, banana, cloves and ginger showing up. Nicely balanced. Decent bitterness. Extremely pleasant mouthfeel. Beautiful lacing. Strong sweet smoky finish. Draught 50cl in Penny Farthing in Aarau, Switzerland. Wonderfully balanced. Hints of mince pies, candy, pear and hops. Decent bitterness. Smooth. Inferior to the bottled version. 7/3/7/4/13 3.4

Irish Earth. Something here taste specifiec to Ireland, its almost herbal. Aroma and flavor are very unique. Great lacy head. Taste is short but joyful. Excellent Marinade.

0.5 l bottle. Amber-red color with thick head. Both aroma and flavor are mainly toasty, nutty and caramelly. Finishes dry. Fairly high carbonation. This is’t my style of beer at all but this is one of the best Irish reds I have tasted.

Good stuff! It has a caramel malt smell and taste. It has a sweet flavor. It is a reddish color, with a white head. It’s a complex finish sweet to hopppy. It’s another fine O’Haras product.
