Had on tap in Philly. Nice head that gives way to a faint lacing. Slightly malty and floral on the nose. A nice carmel and pineapple taste the ends with just the right amound of hoppy dry finish. A great session beer and one of the better in this style.

Fresh leafy hops nose, some caramel and candied malt, clear ruby, with a small tight toffee head, nice lace. Taste is caramel, treacle, malt, hops and a good nuttiness as well. Well balanced, light bodied, a fine toffee creaminess, dry, bitter finish. Good.

Kind of like this beer. Poured with a nice head which mostly dissapated and some lace. Good reddish amber color. Mild malty and roasty aroma with little hops. Perhaps a little fizzy in the mouth which also leads to a sharpness on the tongue. Still, it’s not overly sweet and is drinkable. It gets even better as it warms a bit. Having a draft of this in Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis.

pours a dark caramel color with a one finger fluffy cream colored head. aroma is toasted malt and a touch of hops and nuts with a little dark fruit. has a light to medium body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma with dust. i will pass.

Reddish brown color with no head. Not much aroma. Some hops, but not much better. A decent Irish Red-not much to brag about, but nothing to offend either.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is smoky and a little malty with some earthen notes. Flavor is a little sour at the start with flavors of boiled vegetables, stale biscuits, and some dampness. Metallic finish. Not very good.
