App.: Fairly deep copper, clear with a small tan head.
Aroma: Dark bread crust, some sweeter malts (treacle and toffee), light dank, earthy hops; gets earthier as it warms.
Palate: Medium body, fairly lively carbonation.
Flav.: Earthy, woody, stern malts, some dank green hops, dry and a wee smidge of bitterness.
I won’t have trouble drinking the second bottle in the fridge, but I won’t be stocking the cellar with it either. wilderthanyou (415), Guelph, Ontario, Canada

The flavour is is light, with some hoppiness in the beginning and end with a malty midsection. Straightforward, a little boring, but it went good with my steak, so I gave it a couple bonus points. Very faint aroma of dark fruits and some brown sugar. Flavour similar to the nose, but with a very slight bitterness in the finish as well as a hint of molasses. Nice. Body on the thin side. Nothing too exciting, but well-made and sessionable. raymondwave (870), Finland
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Deep red, really red. Not much nose. Mostly just boring malts on the flavor. This was a bit like eating bread without anything on it, except maybe some butter gone slightly funky. Strangely uninteresting and simple flavor. Maybe I was just having a bad beer day. Found the body to be appallingly thin, with just a hint of beery goodness. Really could be better. FatPhil (3468), Espoo, Finland

Deep red colour, thin head. Mild beeriness in the aroma. Middle-of the road ale style - similar to many Scottish ones - mostly malt influenced, sweet, and with gentle hopping. The hops are the thing which stay around the longest in the finish though, which is nice. Very quaffable. As it warms, the burntness comes over a little more. daniele (1676), Italy

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Not so bad, the aroma is very mild pours a nice reddish brown with a off white creamy head. Taste is very mild also, malty with very little hops detected. It is easy drinking but not what I expected. I can drink it but it would not be my first choice.
