Jun 16, 2006 12 oz bottle. Copper pour with a nice tan head. Slightly toasty malt nose, mild sweetness. Flavor is sweet malt, a bit flat in the mouth. Finish is OK, a mild nutty malt with a slight bitter bite. Very slight. Like I gotta work to taste it. Very average red.

Jun 14, 2006 Chocolate brown tending to dark maroon. Very clean looking. Thin coffee coloured head. Dry roasted malt nose, subtle, some faint chocolate. Very elegant (read lean) on the palate, kinda brown ale or porter like with subtle roasted edge. Fair too fizzy for the style me thinks, leaving a dilutive mouthfeel.

Jun 2, 2006 For St. Patricks day this was a great beer. Now it’s a good red. The aroma is hoppy and the color is a dark brown/red. The head is light brown, fully diminishing and no lacing. The falvor is a little bitter, watery and with a hint of sweet nutty malt finish. The taste left an astringent feel on the tongue. Overall a good red.

May 27, 2006 Amber coloured,decent off white head.
Sweet, malty, caramelly aroma with some nutty hints. Flavour is malty too with a little bitterness. Dry finish.

May 14, 2006 Dark brown colored, slight hints of red. Big beige head. Sweetness, toffee, caramel and nuts in aroma. Medium bodied. Rye, nuts and sweetness in flavor, aftertaste lasts with rye, nuts and dryness. Lace in glass, fine brew!

Apr 24, 2006 Pours a nice amber color. Not a lot of aroma, sweet malt with a hint of fruit/hops. Flavor is malty, with a touch of bitterness.
