On tap at The Slaney, Dublin airport. Mahoganny red with a big, peristant, pale beige head that leaves a lot of lacing. The aroma has caramel, brown sugar, artificial sweeteners, some fruits. Medium bitter and sweet. Well balanced.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at Karaka Irish Pub, Dubrovnik, for the Murray vs Federer Wimbledon semi-final. Clear amber/red body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, candy and earth. Flavour of toffee apple and red fruits. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Rather tasty.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Amber colored and fizzy with a small fast vanishing tan head. The smell is great with a strong aroma of coffee and roasted malts. The taste is dry and bitter as well as somewhat sour in the end with some acid. Which is overall also pretty coffee like. However, the medium body gets pretty thin and watery in middle, while the flavor and aroma is pretty weak in the mouth. Carbonation is medium as well. Great smell weak flavor.

Aroma: herbs and caramel, melanoidins.
Appearance: clear reddish color, thin creamy head.
Taste: medium bitterness (herbs), heather, caramel, roasted malts, ashy!, melanoidins, quite dry but not watery.
Palate: low body and medium carbonation, roasted finish.
Overall: Decent beer, but these ashy notes are strange.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
As a fan of Irish Reds this is by far one of the most flavorful brews in this class I have had. A caramel sweet aroma, with a mild hoppy flavor. This makes for a very well balanced beer.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2015 This was an exceptional well-balanced reddish Irish ale.
It had reddish overtone. The flavor was abundant and well pronounced. It had slight hints of caramel, mint, and irish hops... and good palate. Very balanced. Finally someone produced a good red. I love this beer, it’s so much better than the norm. i give it top marks
