A traditional light hop flavour balances the sweet malty caramel taste. The addition of a pinch of roast barley during the brewing process lends a distinctive roast bite which is balanced by a crisp dry medium bitterness.

First try for this type of beer. The taste is smooth, nice flavor and reddish color. Not a bad one but I still prefer the stouts if I go for an Irish brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

08.01.2014. 0,5l Bottle. Cafe Dublin. Trondheim. Med Ivar Askeland. Dark brown off white head. Aroma is malty and its burnt and roasted. There is also some soft malt sweetness. Malty body with good flavours of burnt roasted caramel. Aftertaste is soft malty and bitter. Good taste.

Una rossa irlandese un po’ svampita. Prevale un gusto maltato, con note sfumate di caramello. Sul palato sopravvive il ricordo di una leggere tostatura dei malti. Finale secco, amaro irrilevante.

Clear light brown with a hint of amber. Beige head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste is malty with a light touch of toasted bread, dough and caramel. Abit too light / watery on the palate.

500 ml brown bottle, 4.3%abv, b@EuroSpar. Off-white head, diminishes, just few spots. Deep red-brown about clear body. Scents; bread, malt, apple, dark chocolate, faint cognac hints. Taste; chocolate malts, some metal hints, some caramel, too toasted rye bread, a dash o ash. Gentle to palate. Finishes with mocca chocolate malts, herbs, hops too. Overall tasty and quite fresh at the same time as it moves towards stout or porter at the end. Goes well with bacon, meat, salty stuff.

Clear ruby red with huge creamy, dense light brown head that leaves lacing ok. Head dampens aromas a bit so I wait. Bit stuffy malty aroma is earthy and dry, bread but something bit impure seems to be hiding here somewhere..like vegetables, chocolate also, ash. Medium body, light palate, sweet, long chocolate finish, bit coffee, surprising flavor after aroma. Nice flavor and look is ok, aroma ..hmm.. but works ok still.

Bottle. Dark brown with a reddish tint. Small light brown head. Aroma is light with dark syrup and citrus. Taste has nut, wood and malt. Some citrus and fruit. Mouthfeel is watery and overall quite shallow.
