run20six2 (119), USA Jun 18, 2005 A good tasting beer with a bitter finish. Overall a good tasting beer. Similiar tasting to a killians DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 7, 2005 Bottle from Peace St. Market, Raleigh. This one is very good. Deep ruby/dark brown with tan head. Aromas of caramel malt, cabernet, some almonds and cognac. Caramel malt in the flavor, with some toffee, cabernet, cognac, and some nutty and rauchy notes. Complex and fairly well balanced, and at the top of my list when I go back to Peace St. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA May 22, 2005 Pours mahogony with a fluffy offwhite head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of citrus fruits. Flavor is malty with notes of fruits as well. Drinkable but nothing special I didn’t think. Import price will likely keep me from drinking this again. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA Apr 29, 2005 One of the best Irish Ales out there. From Ireland. Delicious beer. Nice amount of malt with some hoppiness. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 28, 2005 Updated: Jun 13, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) Called "Molings Traditional Celtic Beer" in my version. Mahogany in colour with a reddish tint and a rather stable, light brown head. Sweetish and malty with notes of caramel and smoke. Very pleasant Irish ale. 200304 BigSkyman007 (194), USA Apr 10, 2005 A just OK irish red. Color more copper than red. Some hops to the flavor, but a little bland for an irish red. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA Apr 8, 2005 red, obviously, carbonated throughout, a coffee-like after-taste, not bad, not worth the price. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Apr 4, 2005 Bottle. Mild slightly roasted malty aroma. A few grassy notes. Garnet amber color with a frothy off-white head and nice lacing. Thin, somewhat bland to start, turning quite roasty and a tad bitter to finish. There are some fruity notes in there as well. Slight metallic notes. Thin. A little better than the Murphy’s I just had.
