tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 24, 2004 Medium brown color with a reddish tinge. Sweet, moderate flavor with a hint of hops & bitterness at the finish. Not a bad session beer. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy Nov 22, 2004 Updated: Sep 13, 2007Bottled. Little lively, good foam but in the complex one firm beer. Rich aroma and elegant color. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 10, 2004 Red-brown color, medium sweet fruity light roasted aroma and taste, light body, dry finish. ChristianSA (368), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 28, 2004 50 cl bottle. Bright clear with nice head, quite carbonated for an english ale. Nice smell og fruit and roasted malts. Very thin mouthfeel and a bitternes that is a little bit sour. Pleasant roasted taste, but too onedimensional. mutant (854), Melbourne, Australia Oct 18, 2004 Ruby colour under a nice, lasting beige head. Malty fruit aroma. Flavour begins sweet because it is so thin and watery, if that makes any sense. Moderate roasted bitterness at the end. Pretty ordinary, not bad just nothing to really distinguish it. NosirIwont (1162), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Oct 15, 2004 Bottle. Red/brown colour. Dense beige/white head. Fruity and malty aroma. Actually pretty nice, but with a not-so-nice disturbing element, which I can’t seem to identify. Very (sour) bitter flavour. Dry and slightly metallic. Malty. Not a lot of body. BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 9, 2004 Pours a beautiful burgundy color. Light rusty head that eventually dissipates, leaving powerful lacing that’s fun to swirl around in the glass. Aroma is rather faint but chili and peaty, somewhat reminiscent of an imperial stout. I am rather impressed with Moling’s flavor – extremely pronounced malts and barley as advertised, with a club soda backwash. Has great carbonation and interesting metallic/chowdery aftertaste (in a positive sense). Also provides a high-gravity hops kick going down and in the stomach. At $1.99 for a 500 ml bottle this is one to put on the weekly shopping list! Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Oct 3, 2004
Big, thick, rocky head. Dark red color.
Aroma:coppery, flat, flinty, slightly floral, dry, vegetal.
Medium/light body. Very little going on here, especially where hops are concerned. That’s the Irish style, I know, but definitely not to my taste. There’s malt, and caramely sweetness, but nothing stands out. Bland.
