TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Feb 29, 2004 So with St Patrick's day coming quick, I decided to pick up this lovely Irish beer. Not bad. Good falvor and tasty. Had to have one while watching the Oscar's. Go Return of the King!!! jbrus (4835), Delft, Netherlands Feb 26, 2004 Little hoppy and malty aroma. Brown color, beige head, very nice lace. Light sweet, malty, caramel, nice hop bitterness, medium body. Not outstanding but still a very nice ale. jerohen (1602), Bussum, Netherlands Feb 19, 2004 Clear red-brown coloured. Watery and bitter flavour. Typical irish ale. Not great. mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA Feb 9, 2004 Updated: Apr 4, 2004Really good Irish red. A bit too hoppy but otherwise the description at the top is correct. Very beautiful color nice aroma. Creamy taste and refreshing. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England Jan 5, 2004 Updated: Jan 2, 2005A great tasty beer, smoky and malty,I fancy a roll up everytime I try this.Golden Virginia if you please. wunderbier (1264), Tampere, Finland Dec 24, 2003 12 oz bottle, mug. Creamy, off-white head slowly diminishes to a crown on a deep red-garnet body. Cookie, caramel malt (M); flowery hops (L); peat aroma. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly bitter finish. Nice peat flavor in the finish, but the flavor seems a bit watered down. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. The bottom line is: a little fuller and richer and this would be a rockin beer. johndoughty (2150), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Dec 23, 2003 Nice reddish appearance but a very mundane taste.Nothing really going for it -pleasant to drink but boring. GreatDane (100), Ballerup, Denmark Dec 6, 2003 Really liked this one. It has brownish-red dark color, a creamy head. A little bitter in the end, not the it matters.
