Pours a nice, dark, ruby color with a medium brown head. Very malty aroma with a slightly spicy hint. Strong raw barley flavor with more spice rounded out with hops. Much better than I was expecting.

(500 ml bottle, brought home from Helsingör, Denmark) Clear redbrown color, fluggy tan head. Rosated and a bit metallic scent. Thin mouthfeel. Metallic taste, malty and grainy aftertaste. Low bitterness.

Pours a good dark red to light burgundy. Small white head that is rapidly disappearing. Smells of soft ripe red fruits, some caramel. Opens up with a nice strong hops presence and a drier caramel malt and some darker candied red fruits. Ends very dry, maybe almost too dry. Light coffee maybe, more of a toffee. Moderate bitterness. Quite flavorful and good medium body, no thining at all. Carbonation leaves quickly with no problems.

500ml bottle (as Mollings). Deep red colour, thin head. Mild beeriness in the aroma. Middle-of the road ale style - similar to many Scottish ones - mostly malt influenced, sweet, and with gentle hopping. The hops are the thing which stay around the longest in the finish though, which is nice. Very quaffable. As it warms, the burntness comes over a little more.

Bottle (as Molings) picked this up for 99p at the ’Dodgy Deli’ on the Cowley Road 20-09-06. Poursa reddy/brown colour with a lively thick head that went everywhere, very lively carbonated beer. The aroma was a bit sweetish, the taste was of toasted malt and some caramel it had a bit of an edge with bitterness but wasn’t a beer that I would rush out to but again.
