drpimento (518), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Mar 18, 2008 Kind of like this beer. Poured with a nice head which mostly dissapated and some lace. Good reddish amber color. Mild malty and roasty aroma with little hops. Perhaps a little fizzy in the mouth which also leads to a sharpness on the tongue. Still, it’s not overly sweet and is drinkable. It gets even better as it warms a bit. Having a draft of this in Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis.
MaltDawg (369), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 6, 2008 12 oz brown bottle. Nice fruity grainy aroma with touch of floral hops. Clear amber with small white head. Fruity grainy flavor with some roast on back end. Light body and mouthfeel. Subtle tea like hop notes. Finish is dry and clean. emacgee (1129), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 27, 2008 Pours a copper ruby with a one finger forthy head. BeerGestapo (351), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 25, 2008 Brewed in Ireland !! Pours a dark amber color with a off white head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, and hops. The taste is of spices and malts that ends with a slightly dry finish. It’s ok, I guess i am not a big fan of Irish Red beers. afireinside96 (494), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 24, 2008 12oz bottle served in a flute-ish glass. Poured deep garnet topped by an off-white head. Smells of toasted caramel and a metallic hop note. Taste is fairly bland, some caramel, spicy hops, water. Leaves some clumpy lace, pretty ugly. Average at best. KimJohansen (4285), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 20, 2008 Clear deep red with medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and fruity notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, caramel and mild hoppy notes. Ends somewhat bitter.
