First try for this type of beer. The taste is smooth, nice flavor and reddish color. Not a bad one but I still prefer the stouts if I go for an Irish brew.

On-tap in Copenhagen. A very enjoyable mellow red ale, and is perfectly suited to drink throughout the night.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Caramelized cereals and earthy hops lead to herbal tips and their gentle bitterness in this healthy Irish Red Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the cloudy dark red.
-Both malt and hops are well defined.
-Flavor profile is well balanced.
-Mouthfeel is creamy despite their being no nitrogen in this one.
On tap at The Bull & Castle, Dublin.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma: dark bread, caramel, toasty. Appearance: amber, orange, clear, tan foam, rocky head, quite mall quantity but lasts. Taste: medium bitterness, lightly sour. Palate: medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, astringent, bitter, long finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours deep ruby and clear, big persistent tan head, decent lacing. Fairly dry aroma of toast, bread crust, toffee, coffee, herbs, spice, resin. Tastes fairly dry, light bitterness on top with a little bit of roasty acidity. Light body, medium carbonation, somewhat sticky aftertaste. Not bad, but the herbal/resiny flavor doesn’t go well with the dark malts.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 330 ml. bottle. Handsome looking reddish-amber pour with a long lasting off-white head. Great clarity. Aroma of roasted barley and some caramel or toffee. Low hop profile. The body is medium. The taste is nice and roasty with a clean finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is bread, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla. Appearance is clear dark orange/red with fast rising sparkle, 1/2 finger-width frothy off-white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, earth, balance of sweet and bitter. Palate is medium bodied with airy texture, lively carbonation and dry throughout, including finish. Overall, more interesting aroma than flavor with nice appearance and decent palate.

Bottle. Deep copper beer with a red tinge. Nose is mild caramel and toasty malt. Flavor is malts, less caramel than the nose, some herbal hops. Malty acidity in the aftertaste. Overall it’s kinda thin and watery. Smells nice.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Do tap: uma apresentação linda, de um vermelho profundo, transparente, com creme persistente, na medida. Aroma forte de caramelo, notas de malte torrado, nozes. Sabor doce, com amargor moderado e balanceado. Retrogosto do malte torrado. Uma ótima Irish Red, mas para os aficionados por lúpulo e amargor, talvez não seja a melhor escolha.
