Dark, shiney red colour with a clingy lace and off-tan foamy head. The nose is fruity with malty hay-like notes and a bright citrusy hoppiness. The body is somewhat sweet at the front with a bright fruitiness in the middle. Citrusy and mildly bitter hops fill out the finish that lingers on the tongue for a time.

The color was a dark reddish brown and there was a decent smoky/hoppy aroma. Tasted smoky, nutty, some sweet caramel possibly, with a light bitter finish.

Clear brown/red. Thin head and lace. Nose was subdued with earthy malts, slight fruits. Smooth, light body. Palate was a bit watery, some ok malt, faintly hopped finish. No better then killians........

Glorious ruby amber brown clear with medium size very pale beige orange head. Aroma is caramel honeycomb malt when cool and even more honeycomb when warmed. Medium woody cask bitter, grain and lighter metallic sweet malt start. Chewy medium strength roasted bitter finish and aftertaste. Didn't get much coffee. Very pleasant drinking

With the popularity of Irish pubs in the U.S., fortunately I didn"t have to travel all the way to Ireland to try this one. Faint, roasted malt aroma. Foamy/rocky, off white head. Clear, dark red body. Head is almost fully disappating, but the extensive net of Brussels lace almost makes up for it. Light alcohol taste in the finish. Tastes like a dark Bitter. Also a little sour in the finish. This brew is a tease: Not complex enough for my taste buds.

Clear, deep amber body with a foamy, off-white head. Aroma of warm toast, lightly sweet malt, red grapes, and some cinnamon. Medium sweet flavor with an element of toasted grain husks, moderate bitterness, and a hint of tartness. Also slightly chalky. A fair IRA.
