A traditional light hop flavour balances the sweet malty caramel taste. The addition of a pinch of roast barley during the brewing process lends a distinctive roast bite which is balanced by a crisp dry medium bitterness.

Aroma- Malty and sweet with a roasted caramel scent. Appearance- Ruby head with a nice thick head. I noticed little lacing. Taste- Same as aroma. Malty sweet, and has a nice roasted, almost toasted. caramel thing going on. It is mildly bitter. Excellent! Palate- Light and extremely drinkable. Not heavy at all. Ohara’s Irish Red is a great light, easy drinking beer that is easy on the drinkability. All the flavors work well with each other and the abv is so low that a few could be had easily. A+ brew!

Persistent beige foam and intense aroma of malty and caramel. Taste is a good balancing of malt and hop.

The aroma on this beer is absolutely entrancing with a strong scent of bread-y wheat. It pours out a dark, dark red with a thick head that fades into a good lace. The taste is rich in caramels and barley, and it stays in the mouth well with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I’m certainly glad I found this brew.

Appearance: Pours a dark translucent amber/brown with a 2 finger off white head. It stayed nice and frothy throughout the entire duration of the beer. Fantastic lacing. Smell: It has the classic Red Ale element, what ever it is that makes that attribute so recognizable. It has an aroma of sweet roasted malts and a speckling of dryness. The hops are present but very hidden. Taste & Mouthfeel: Very sweet and malty! There is not a lot of depth, or complexity to the taste, but it is pleasant and easy to drink. There are hints of that classic ’red,’ that may be birch or cream soda. This is a very straightforward, inoffensive and balanced beer. The taste experience moves right into to mouthfeel, largely because the predominate characteristic is the creaminess. This beer is extremely smooth and creamy with a full body and lightweight. It has a nice dry finish. Very easy on the palate! Drinkability: This is not the most interesting beer but it is extremely easy to drink. It sits light in the stomach and begs for more. Definitely a sessionable beer for me. I wish I had gotten a case. If you like the style (this may not be the best in it but) you will probably enjoy this beer. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!

Outstanding Irish Ale. Very smooth and balanced. Not very sweet like some Irish Ale’s. Well rounded and very drinkable.

Sweet roasted malt nose. It pours an awesome dark brown with a touch of red. Solid toasty malt flavor; also a bit of sweetness thrown in. I’m also detecting some herbal notes, licorice maybe? Overall, I can really see this as a great session beer for me; solidly easy drinking but with some complexity to chew on... good stuff!

0.5L bottle, clear deep brown with light red streaks, small thick long lasting head, rich malty aroma with strong barnyard notes, flavour of bread and barnyard with some dark fruits at the back and a hint of metal, bitterness not to strong but quite persistent leading to a long bitter sour aftertaste. Good and satisfying.

Sweet smoky caramel malt aroma. Deep brown with tan head. Starts off bitter but soon smooths out. Has deep rich feel. I’m pleasantly surprised by this one. Very respectable brew.
