Red brown, plentifull small bubbled carbonation, fluffy off-white head.
Cookie- and slightly roasted malt, fruity notes, some herbal edges.
Thinish body, sparkly mouthfeel.
I suspect it may be more exiting from the cask - from the bottle its somewhat boring. bhensonb (4406), Woodland, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2009 A bit light tan soapy head sits upon a dark caramel colored beer. That head lasts a long time and leaves a tapestry lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty with the faintest hint of smoke. Flavor is less appealing than the appearance or aroma in that it is somewhat thin. It is sweet caramel malt that is steady throughout. However, there is a watery flavor that somewhat undermines the experience. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
