A pretty average Irish beer. Nice mix of ingrediants, with nothing in particular standing out.

Bottle from the LCBO. Deep copper-red with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, roasted grain and grassy, tangy hops. Medium body. Well balanced flavour with sweet and nutty malt, earthy hops, and notes of yeast, cherry, and a bit of smoke in the finish. Not too bad at all.

Pours a nice, dark, ruby color with a medium brown head. Very malty aroma with a slightly spicy hint. Strong raw barley flavor with more spice rounded out with hops. Much better than I was expecting.

Pours a dark reddish brown with an excellent off--white head and strong lacing. Aroma of roasted malt. Folavor of dark roasted malt offset by slight citrus hoppy biotterness in the finish. this is a robust Irish Red. The robust taste is an advantage over many other Irish Red’s, which have a slightly watered down taste.

Bottle at Stouts NYC. Amber pour with an off white head. Sweet, mildly hoppy aroma. Nice flavor, fruity, sweet caramel and some nice bitterness as well. Really like this one.

This brew pours a medium head of finely sized off white bubbles that left a good lacing and a transparent brown body. It has a malt hop aroma with slightly bitter fizzy start and a smooth finish. It has flavors of roasted malt and caramel.

Picked this up at Mitchell & Sons in Dublin. Neat store. ANyway. Pours a nice looking read with a loose white head. Aroma is pretty fruity, slightly hoppy, with some molasses notes. Flavor is mellow, apple, strawberry, mild citrus, some roasted malt toward the end. Pretty interesting, just a bit bland. Very pleasant mouth feel, it’s a joy to drink, Revolution Red is by far the superior beer.

Are people rating the same beer. Mine looks like the picture - almost black!?! Large, long lasting head that leaves a nice lace. Aroma; malty, roasted, toffee. Taste; inoffensive, sweet, roasted-bitter, dry. Has a lot to offer considering "low" ABV.
