DandyWolfFloyd (200), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2008 Good stuff! It has a caramel malt smell and taste. It has a sweet flavor. It is a reddish color, with a white head. It’s a complex finish sweet to hopppy. It’s another fine O’Haras product.
Soonah (460), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Jul 22, 2008 Poured dark brown with coppery highlights. The head was kind of thick with decent retention and lacing. The aroma was lots of malt and caramelly sweetness. The flavor is dominated by malt that is only barely cut with light spice and sweetness. Transitions downhill quickly into a dry, unpleasant, chalky finish. swanmann (238), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle pours clear auburn with moderate ashy tan head. Smokey, slightly sweet malty aroma. The flavor has a crisp hoppyness with smooth roasted bitterness. Pretty good. punainen6 (45), Finland Jul 21, 2008 Bottle. Deep red color with a reasonable sized head. Smell has smoke, wood and hops. Tastes about the same with tiny hints of licorice and caramel. Spices could be little stronger so it would come together better. Now it feels almost like missing its full potential, but noneless a good beer. TheGrandMaster (1406), Auckland, New Zealand Jul 21, 2008 Bottle (in NZ), pours a clear reddish brown with a large foamy head. Good smokey malt aroma, a little bready. Full mouthfeel, toffee malt flavour with a drying finish with hints of cloves. Drinks well. bretupdegraff (12), , Indiana, USA Jul 18, 2008 Updated: Jul 19, 2008poured a clear dark amber with a very tall off white head that did not taper down for a long time.
