A traditional light hop flavour balances the sweet malty caramel taste. The addition of a pinch of roast barley during the brewing process lends a distinctive roast bite which is balanced by a crisp dry medium bitterness.

O’Hara’s Irish Red has a very thin, off-white head, a brilliant brick-red appearance, lots of bubble streams, and a little bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of medium-roasted barley malt, molasses, brown bread crust, and candied fruit. Taste is of tannin, bread crust, and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and O’Hara’s Irish Red finishes crisp, dry, refreshing, and easy drinking. Overall, this is a simple, yet good beer. RJT

Flaska från @thaalcoholic, tack! Mörkt bärnstensfärgad vätska med ljust stort skum. Doftar lite karamell och metall. Smakar maltigt med tydlig beska.

Keg at Norseman Temple Bar, Dublin. It pours a clean amber color with a small tan head. Aroma is mildly sweet with caramel malt, toffee, grains and pine cones. Taste is lightly roasted and medium sweet, with notes of grains, toasted bread, toffee, nuts, pine needles and resinous hops. Finishes drier with bitter notes oh piny hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice red ale

Tasty and clean red ale. Actually it works quite well as a thirst quencher. Drunk straight out of the bottle.
