3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
O’Hara’s Irish Red has a very thin, off-white head, a brilliant brick-red appearance, lots of bubble streams, and a little bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of medium-roasted barley malt, molasses, brown bread crust, and candied fruit. Taste is of tannin, bread crust, and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and O’Hara’s Irish Red finishes crisp, dry, refreshing, and easy drinking. Overall, this is a simple, yet good beer. RJT

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle enjoyed after work watching the football! Pours a very nice deep, dark brownish red with a one finger frothy beige head that leaves a nice lacing and a little clinging head. Aroma is slightly metallic with an amount of caramel and a little straw and bread (improved as the beer warmed up a couple of degrees). Taste is better, a delicate balance of bready sweetness and redcurrant bitterness. Aftertaste is abrupt, mostly light caramel, with medium body and reasonably lively carbonation. A pretty decent red ale, but nothing entirely remarkable.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The aroma on this beer is absolutely entrancing with a strong scent of bread-y wheat. It pours out a dark, dark red with a thick head that fades into a good lace. The taste is rich in caramels and barley, and it stays in the mouth well with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I’m certainly glad I found this brew.
