3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
At a tasting, thanks Yuval, very little head, very dark brown colour, strong aromas of hay, barnyard, dark dried fruits and dark sour bread, flavour is very sour and unripe, some blue cheese, smokiness and chrred wood, very long and strong sour aftertaste with a nutty charred sensation. Strange but intriguing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2011 Re-rate 7/29/11: Bottle. Black-colored with a lovely light brown head. Nice roasted malt aroma with coffee, some chocolate and light fruitiness. Sweetish roasty flavor with coffee and a drier finish with light acidity. Medium-bodied. A good Stout. Glad I tried it again. 7/4/7/3/14=3.5
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks to Yuval’s friend whose name I cannot remember at the moment. Black with a beige head. Aroma of thick chocolate and some dark fruit notes. Sweet-sour-bitter roasted flavor with malt, weird fruitiness, carob, coffee and yeast. Light-medium body. Aroma promises, flavor disappoints. A strange Stout. 7/3/5/3/10=2.8

Pours very dark brown with brown foam. Very carbonated - the main taste is of sharp bubbles! Drier than Guinness. Taste is closer to Guinness Extra, but it’s not too bitter, quite drinkable. Lies somewhere between the two.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
very dark black, the brown head dissapears suddenly. aroma of mollases, licorice. taste starts mellow, sweet ends with a dryish burned malt finish, but the dryness is not excessive. cigar smokiness also, an ok stout but I prefer their original one.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2013 Bottle from Utobeer shared with MagicDave. Liquorice stout with a bit of cardboard. Tar on aroma, really bad finish. Like a dead rodent. Poor. 1.8 Re-rate I bought this by mistake at Terre de Boissons, Calais. It’s a lot better than the first time. Still a little liquorice, but better flavours. Must have been a bad bottle last time. I even quite like it. Good choc and coffee and pleasant in mouth, some very mild sour acidity on finish. OK.

Bottle thanks to Ian, had in the rake. Roasty, tart, massivly carbonated, cereal malt character comes through. Really poor.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home ... no idea where i got this ... but it cost me £2:30 ... deep black ... thin tan head ... sweet meaty big malt nose ... this alone puts it above its average so far ... bit overy fizzy ... nice meaty roast malt ... but thin ... oddly this remonds me a little of the Kaggen in its flavour ... but its thinness lets it down badly ...theres also a tiny tinge of sourness... This is probably the beer that holds the most promice of what it could have been. It probably needs taken up a point or two and some more boddy added and this could go from 3.4 ->4.4 with one little step

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2009 Bottle bought in Dublin. Black with small tan head. Slightly spicy and fruity flavor with a roasted aftertaste. A bit bitter. Claimed chocolate and coffee flavors but these were hard to notice. Slightly stronger than most stouts available in Ireland but its strength was not noticeable. Tastes okay overall and wasn’t much to look at.
