Cinnamon, fresh orange juice and coconut were added to this juicy Amber Ale to spice it up for the long winter nights. The hops and yeast lend a fruitiness that compliments the spice additions. Dual purpose Northern Brewer hops add to the spicy taste.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Spicy aroma has notes of coconut, cinnamon, orange zest, a touch of aniseed. Taste is identical on moderately sweet caramel malty basis, minimally soapy finish.

Bottle; pours amber with an off white head; sweet and lightly spicy aroma with orange, cinnamon, and malt; taste reminds me a little bit of gingerbread with a hint of orange and caramel; light bitter finish; I was not sure what to expect but this was pretty good.

Clear mahogany color, minimal white head. Aroma is like a Christmas cake with cinnamon and hints of caramel and hops. Taste is similar to that, biscuity, cinnamon cake, very nice. Cinnamon finish. Thin body, average carbonation, just a bit creamy. Thin but extremely interesting and tasty.

Letzt herber Antrunk mit gewürzigen, nicht übertriebenen Hintergrundnoten. Deutlich intensiver im Mittelteil, dennoch süffig, Zimt, Nelke. Mild bitterer Nachhall. Gelungen. 8/9/9/9/8/9

Flight done at Brewers Corner in Kilkenny. Samples healthy portion, 8 oz. Tasty notes as follows: Irish Stout: coffee, dry, tasty Irish Pale Ale: good pun on name, good flavor, nice hop balance Irish Red: strong alcohol flavor, finish is taste of pool water, hard to finish, biased against style in general, had in nitro as well which was more enjoyable Helles Lager: crisp, mild hop finish Natural Blonde: drinkable, koslh-esque? Leann Follain: Barrel aged flavor, enjoyable like most irish dry stouts Double IPA: Boozy, strong hop flavor, not up there with the good ones Widow Retro Pale Ale: conservative, middle of the road, not offensive but not great Amber Adventure: tastes similar to pale ale, hops present and noticeable, bitter, caramel malt Winter Star: spicy, winter holiday flavor
