Draft. Pours a dark beer with a creamy and beige head. The aroma is fruity with roasted malts. Has notes of licorice and some sweetness. The flavor is coffee with licorice and sweetness. Nicely balanced. Nice stout, above average.

[Sampled at DØE-festival with Helga, Søren and Anne, Århus 2008.] Reminds me of my childhood footballclub Avarta and could have bought some bottles for this reason. Nice roasted beer with notes of coffeechos light hops and caramel, soft and good.

Bottle 33cl @ Ølfestival Aarhus 2008.
Clear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lancing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, light to moderate hoppy, notes of smoke. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. )

On tap at Århus. A black, clear-looking beer with a small beige to tan head. Sweetish, roasted nose with some coffee aromas. Sweet flavor too, with some sourish notes, roasted malt and licorice. The sourness is almost milk-sour. Quite sweetish finish. Full-bodied. Far from impressive and far from bad. )

Draught at Ølfestival 2008, Århus
Black color. It’s a mix of a quite good strong stout (with some body and sweetness) with dirty water (?), mainly the smell. Not the best experience.

Draught. Low brown quickly disappearing head. Pitch black body. Coffee liquorice aroma. Coffee liquorice flavor with a good deal of bitterness. Long aftertaste. Low carbonation. Well balanced.
